Contest
Children’s short story contest: for children 12 and under. This is an annual contest for Canadian children under the age of 13 as of September 1st 2018, to write a short story (1000 words or less) on a subject that affects them or that they feel strongly about. The deadline is September 15: stories must be received by midnight on that date by email or post and must be accompanied by a verification letter from a teacher, librarian, or principal - on school letterhead - verifying that the child is under 13 years of age as of September 1st 2018. An accompanying letter from a parent or guardian allowing the child’s name and story to appear on the Marigold Press website, is also required.
